How you can help

1. Donate

Please consider making a donation to the PFC so that we are able to continue to support the school. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to help subsidize any costs that the school district does not cover. 
 

  • We recommend a $180 donation, equivalent to a dollar a day this school year.

  • 100% of your donations support our students, teachers, and staff at John Green Elementary.

  • Your donations are tax deductible, as we are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. 

  • If your company offers donation matching, please submit your receipt to your employer.

  • Make a donation by August 31st to qualify for our tier donation gifts.

    • Gold: $180 per student

    • Silver: $150 per student

    • Bronze: $100 per student

Last school year, the PFC was able to contribute the following to the school: 

  • Faculty Stipends (Teachers, Faculty, Librarian, and Principal) - $11,075

  • Minder Binders for Students- $1,500

  • Emergency Food Supplies $2,440

  • Field Trip Grants (K-5th) $1,000 per grade, (TK) $500 - $6,500 total 

  • 3rd Grade Ohlone Day $1,280

  • 4th Grade Walk through California $2,050

  • 5th Grade American Revolution $2,050

  • 5th Grade Promotion Contribution $1,000

  • Student Council T-shirts- $500

  • Community Events: Kindergarten Meet & Greet, Room Parent Orientation, Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat, Movie Night, Pastries with Parents, Multicultural Night, Crayon Initiative, Faculty Appreciation Week, and much more!

2. Volunteer

The PFC needs volunteers for our Events throughout the school year.  We are also looking for Event Chairs to help organize and lead these events.  Sign up here and / or join our  Whatsapp volunteer group so that we can contact you when the need arises.

Teachers will also need volunteers in the classroom.

​

Volunteers must be cleared via Be a Mentor before they are able to volunteer in the classroom.
