APEX Daily Leadership Lesson

DAY 6 - DO !

Good morning!

Today is our sixth day on campus and we are amazed at the amount of excited participating students there are! Our sixth lesson is to "Do", where we will teach the students to conquer, finish and continue to live out the lessons we have taught on how to become a legendary leader. We will inform the students that they've been legendary leaders all along and we as APEX are just here to help them realize it! For challenges, we set a challenge yesterday that the class with the highest dollar amount in pledging total would receive a popsicle party! The participation here at John Green Elementary students has been absolutely amazing! The popsicle party definitely seemed to be a positive incentive for the children as a final challenge! Looking forward to see what the students and teachers are capable of since pledging will be open for a bit longer!

Here is an update on the school's progress:

The total pledges is currently $1,520.08 per lap.
The highest class is now Rachel Malfatti's class with $83.00 per lap!

Again, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

DAY 4 - NEVER QUIT !

Good morning!

Hope everyone has a great day. Today is our fifth day on campus and each day is getting better and better! Our fifth lesson is to never quit, where we will teach the students to never give up on their hopes and dreams. Although we all may fail many times in your life, it's about what we learn from those failures that will lead us to great successes. As far as challenges, because I know we have been pushing logins we set a new challenge that the class with 100% login and t-shirt login by this morning will receive the opportunity to tape an APEX team member to a chair! The students seemed very excited and thrilled to do so! Since we want to make your school very happy, we had compiled a list of class challenge prizes and had it approved by the office. We love that we are able to communicate all activities easily through staff here at John Green Elementary!

Here is an update on the school's progress:

The total pledges is currently $1257.78 per lap.
The highest class is Mrs. Dorsett with $59.83 per lap!

Again, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

DAY 4 - EMPOWER !
Good morning!

Happy Monday! Today is our fourth day on campus and our APEX team is excited to see what this week will bring! Our fourth lesson is to empower, where we will teach the students to give each other something we at APEX know as empower boosts. These empower boosts allow children to grow and build confidence within themselves so that they can accomplish all of their goals. We will teach the children that they are capable of anything if they believe they are. Over the weekend the children made great progress in receiving pledge donations! I am looking forward to a very fun, exciting, successful week ahead and Gator Gallop on October 7th! As we near the end of the in-class lessons period, we will announce more exciting and fun challenges to motivate the children before we leave! Can't wait to see what these classes can do!

Here is an update on the school's progress:

The total pledges is currently $1026.78 per lap.
The highest class is now Mr. Fogel with $53.84 per lap!

That is outstanding! These kids are truly working hard.

As for challenges-

As you know there were two challenges set over the weekend.

The first challenge was a school wide challenge. On Friday morning, the students were at $672 per lap as a school. We set a goal of $800 by Monday morning, and if this goal was accomplished the Apex team would dress in silly fun costumes on Monday to teach lessons. This goal was definitely accomplished as the school is now sitting at $1025.78 and still increasing. Way to blow it out of the park students!!

Our second challenge was the class with the highest jump in pledges over the weekend would receive a kickball game or game of choice at lunch with the Apex team. The winner of this challenge was Mrs. Fogel with a jump from $33.84 to $53.84!
Again AWESOME job!

Such great news to come start a Monday off with, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

DAY 3 - GIVE!

Hello all!

Good morning I hope everyone is having a great day so far! Our APEX team is having such a great time on campus as a result of so many participating and happy students! Our third lesson is to give, where we will teach the children that they are valuable, they are worth something and can accomplish anything they set their minds too. Our second challenge was the class with the most students pledging by this morning would receive the chance to mummify an Apex team member of choice. The winning class was with Mrs.Zamora with 13 students pledging! Awesome job students and teachers!

Here is an update on the school's progress:

The total pledges this morning was at $672.25 per lap this afternoon by 1pm the total was at $784.08!
The highest class is Mrs. Battershell with $43.33 per lap!

Way to go students and teachers!

Over the weekend we will set two challenges.

The first challenge will be as a school. We are currently sitting at $784.08 per lap which is awesome! We want to set a goal of $800 by Monday morning. This number consists of all students pledges put together. If the school can reach $800 by Monday, the whole APEX team will have to teach all lessons on Monday in silly costumes.

The second challenge will be a class challenge. The class with the biggest jump in pledges over the weekend (for example $1.67 as a class to $34.67 as a class) would win a kickball game or game of choice at recess with the Apex team!

Again, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

we will encourage students to be leaders by teaching them to put down the distractions, focus in and out of the classroom, and to always participate. As you know Mr.Shannons 5th grade class was the winner of our first challenge of most student log ins to apexfunrun.com on the first night with 74% logged in! Way to go! DAY 1- LEARN

Today was the kickoff to our lessons here at John Green Elementary and it went amazing! The kids are absolutely loving the program and having a blast! We are having so many parents come up to us letting us know how excited their kids are! The first lesson given today today was to learn. We taught the students that the ability to learn is extremely valuable. Learning is a skill that each person has without realizing it. Having conversations with others, being in the classroom, taking test are all great examples of how we learn each day. The first school wide challenge that we gave was the class with the highest percentage of logins to apexfunrun.com would receive our apex trophy. The winning class was Mr.Shannons class 5th grade class with 74% login just the first night! Way to go students!

Here is an update on the schools progress:

The total pledges is currently at $203.33 per lap!
The highest class is currently at Mrs.Herdman with $34.50 per lap!

Awesome start to the program by students and teachers!
